The development of Open-Centre technology began in the US during the early 1990s in a climate of increasing awareness of the global need for research and development in renewable energy.
OpenHydro has over a decade of experience in developing and testing the Open-Centre Turbine in marine conditions.
Openhydro was formed in 2005 after negotiation of world rights to the Open-Centre technology in late 2004.
