Our Quality, Environment, Health & Safety (QEHS) department is responsible for the development, implementation, monitoring and continuous improvement of certified QEHS systems to support our business needs.
In OpenHydro Health and Safety is our number one business priority. The CEO, Executive Team and Board of Directors are fully committed to this principle and re-inforce this through OpenHydro’s processes, objectives and reporting mechanisms.
We collected The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) Sector award in Research and Development for Occupational Health and Safety in 2015 and collected a further RoSPA Gold award in 2016.
OpenHydro is accredited to OHSAS 18001 and to ISO 9001. Certification to international standards helps us apply a consistent approach across all jurisdictions. This also further reinforces OpenHydro’s commitment to Health & Safety both internally to our employees and externally to our shareholders and customers.
Our commitment to Health and Safety is demonstrated in our performance since 2012, where we have consistently driven down our incident frequency rate.
